WELCA Horse Camps
We have a number of different camp options depending on riding level and age! Check out the information below to learn more about find out which camp option is best for you, registration deadlines, and run dates!
Pony Up Camps are for ages 4-8 years old. Riders are on lead for safety, but are working towards confidence, independence, and skill development. WELCA provides leaders for camps, however, if you are interested in leading a horse for a camp, check out our volunteer registration form here: Volunteer Program
Horse Rider Camps are for ages 8-16 years old. This camp is designed for beginner riders although they do begin right from the start off-lead! If your youth is horse crazy or has ever considered joining our 10-month horsemanship program then this is a great starting point!
Horsemanship Camps are for ages 8-16 years old and are a camp option for riders already in the WELCA horsemanship program or for kids that have taken lessons at other barns. Riders must be very proficient at the walk/trot in order to participate- if you are new to WELCA then an evaluation ride is required to place you in the correct level.

Summer Pony Up Camp
Pony Up Camps are half day camps for ages 4-7 that run either in the morning or afternoon from Monday to Friday during camp week! Participants will ride on-lead, groom/feed horses, do a horse craft, and play horse games every day!

Public Registration opens end of January and is usually full by March.
This is a new camp that we are offering this year for more experienced riders. This camp is geared towards youth ages 8-16 that already are taking lessons either at WELCA or elsewhere. Similar to the Horse Rider Camp, participants will ride daily, work on horsemanship skills/knowledge, complete crafts, and play games. If you are new to WELCA we will need to complete an evaluation ride in June in order to group similar levels together. Contact Us to set that up!
Summer Horse Rider Camp
Horse Rider Camps are full day one-week camps for ages 8-16 that run Monday to Friday throughout July and August! Participants will ride independently, learn stable management, create unqie horse crafts, and play horse games every day!

Winter/Spring Camp
Winter Pony Up Camp is typically 3 days during the Christmas Break and Spring Pony Up Camp runs for 3 days during Spring Break.
Registration is opens for ourhalf-day Winter Camp for those 4-7. January 3-5th 2024, AM and PM options.
