Rules and Regulations

The following are provided to insure the safety, pleasure, security and well being of you, your horse and others using the WELCA facility.

1. When you ride - you do so at your own risk.

2. Ride with a buddy at all times. However, if you choose to ride alone, take your cell phone with you. Tell someone when you are leaving, where you will be riding and when you expect to return.

3. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

4. Helmets are mandatory while mounted. NO EXCEPTIONS. ALL riding lesson participants must wear an ASTM approved helmet. It is also recommended that you wear your helmet while working in the barn area.

5. Be courteous to everyone on the property.

6. Dogs must be on a leash and under your control. Do not let dogs loose into the pastures or pens.

7. If you, your horse or dog make a mess, please clean it up.

8. Bareback riding is permitted.

9. Doubling is not permitted.

10. Anyone riding on Whitemud Equine property must be appropriately tacked up.

11. Do not block the flow of traffic.

12. Walk, trot only on Whitemud property and on trails. Hand galloping is to be confined to arenas.

13. Jumping is only allowed during instruction.

14. All lessons are to be scheduled through the office. A WELCA instructor will do all coaching. Outside coaches are not allowed.

15. No riding in paddocks or pens.

16. No riding after dark.

17. No riding on the grass rings at the show grounds. Riding is allowed on the three sand rings.

18. Notify the WELCA office of any necessary repairs, maintenance, problems, complaints or needed supplies. No one shall modify existing structures without the express permission of Management.

19. WELCA Management shall have the right to assign and re-assign paddocks and box stalls in order to minimize dangerous or nuisance situations or wear & tear on the facility.

Anyone who does not observe the posted rules will be subject to disciplinary action up to, and including, the termination of riding and boarding privileges.
